Poll: Have you found your niche (market)?

Erin Nutting said in our previous Producer Profile article that expanding into a niche market – wedding insurance – has been a game-changer for her business.

Not because providing wedding insurance is a big money-maker, but because it is what she calls a “gateway insurance product” that leads to sales of additional types of insurance and generates a lot of referrals. Got us wondering if you devote time and effort to developing any niche markets?

    • Agreed. I am mainstream as well. I tried selling some of the niche market products but it takes a special kind of client to want those products and I had trouble finding them.

  1. I have to be honest and say that I never heard of wedding insurance until last week. But it makes sense. You spend a lot of money on one day so you probably want the piece of mind that you are covered is something goes wrong.
